- Ana Mirea is an accomplished attorney specializing in intellectual property law, with over 14 years’ experience, her work in the media, entertainment and advertising industries being considered “a notable track record“ [Legal 500, 2022]
- With a robust background in dispute resolution and international corporate and commercial law, Ana has held advisory roles at top international law firms and served as in-house counsel for major Romanian companies UiPath and Global Records.
- Ana has made significant contributions in the public sector, notably as an advisor to the Romanian Minister of Culture and founder of the Romanian Office for Film and Cultural Investments, where she set up the national film incentive program.
- Currently Ana is an MBA student, focusing on the creative and cultural industries at Faculty of Business Administration, in Foreign Languages, National Economics’ Academy – student, MBA in the Creative and Cultural Industries
Recent highlights of her expertise include:
- drafting the legislation for the establishment of the Office for Film and Cultural Investments and amendment to the state aid legislation regarding the Roman film cash rebate program, which led to the reopening of the program, after three years’ standstill and to the opening of a new call for projects;
- a wide range of mandates on intellectual property protection, including trademark and patent registration, software development and licensing, copyright issues, influencer marketing, and image rights.
- technical regulatory advice on intellectual property management and collective rights management in the music and audiovisual fields;
- representing both established and emerging artists and creators, focusing on negotiation of performance agreements, copyright protection, and mitigating disputes related to image and copyright infringements.
